You will need a large mouth jar sealer to vacuum the air out of the canister.

To Operate:
The white knob in the center of the lid has three positions; Closed,
Vacuum, and Open. Place the arrow toward the "vacuum"
position place your large mouth jar sealer on top, connect the hose,
and start the pump.
